02 Scope of this policy
This policy covers the Aetara website. Our platforms, including Aetara Fleet, Aetara Core, and Aetara Studio engagements, are governed by the agreement with the customer organization and any platform-specific privacy notice provided with them.
Where we process personal information on behalf of a customer through one of our platforms, we act as a processor under that customer's instructions, and the customer is responsible for its own privacy notice.
03 Information we collect
We collect the following information:
- Information you give us: your name, email address, and message when you use the contact form, and anything you include when you email us.
- Technical information: when you visit the site, our hosting infrastructure records standard server logs such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the date and time of the request.
- Preferences stored on your device: your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
- To respond to your enquiry and follow up on any resulting conversation or project.
- To operate, maintain, and secure the website, including detecting spam and limiting abusive traffic.

- Service providers who help us run the website, such as our hosting provider and our email delivery provider (Resend), which delivers contact form messages to our inbox. They may only use the information to provide their services to us.
- Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on this site. Your browser requests the fonts directly from Google, which receives your IP address.
- Authorities or other parties when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Aetara, our users, or others.
- A successor organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
07 International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect information transferred internationally.
08 How long we keep information
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting relationship, and then delete or anonymize them. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

Structural integrity is one of our core values. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
